Spyware and Malware Down Significantly

Companies in Great Britain (UK) now see about a 60% reduction in Malware and Spyware Infections over 2 years ago. This Spyware reduction data is a result of a survey conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The Business related Malware-Spyware survey was at the behest of the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform posted in a press release by the Infosecurity conference this week in London. Further details of the report will be released next week.

But this is not to say it’s time to relax. In the press release Chris Potter says, “…virus protection. Only a tiny minority of companies don’t take this area seriously. The message from this survey is clear – if you haven’t got anti-virus and anti-spyware software, you’re way outside the benchmark.”
